Billee Collins has been an MVAS Director for 25 years! She is a native Montanan, having been born in Manhattan and having spent her early years in Helena. At age 13 her family moved to southern California. She graduated from San Diego State University and received her Masters Degree in Education and Administration from Pepperdine University. Billee’s teaching experiences in Vista, CA ranged from kindergarten to assisting high school students with math skills.
In the 1980s she and her husband bought an RV and traveled to all fifty states – although Hawaii was NOT by RV! Billee has visited not only England (where her daughter lived for some years), but also much of Europe, the Holy Land, Turkey and Egypt. In 1993 Billee and her husband moved to Polson, where she immediately became involved with MVAS. Billee headed the MVAS Humane Education Program for a number of years. She currently lives with her rescued dachshund, Lady. Billee’s hobbies include reading, music, piano and sewing – especially quilting.
Thank you Billee for your unwavering commitment to MVAS and ending pet homelessness!
