Mission Valley Animal Shelter
"A voice for those who cannot speak"
MEET OUR STAFF!
Our staff of full-time and part-time employees work hard every day because they love what they do and want to make a difference for people and animals in our midst.
It is often a thankless job, but the fulfillment that comes from saving lives, completing families, enabling happy reunions and giving animals love is irreplaceable!
If you would like to join our team, feel free to stop by, say hello and drop off a resume. We might contact you when needs arise!
This is who we are:

RAEVA, Shelter Manager
Raeva was born in Casper, Wyoming. As a teenager she volunteered at the Mission Valley Animal Shelter and had always wanted to be part of the team here. Now that she is, Raeva is very proud to play a small part in helping all these deserving critters find their forever homes.

DREW, Cat Caregiver
Drew began working in animal care at 15 years old as a volunteer for the Nature Conservancy in Connecticut. After moving to Minnesota, he found work with a company providing humane residential wildlife removal in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. He started at MVAS in June 2011 after moving to Montana to pursue a slightly quieter life near family and has been with us ever since.

KALISTA, Kennel Attendant
Kalista has called the Mission Valley her home all her life. And as thankful as she is to be here, she is even more thankful to be a part of Mission Valley Animal Shelter. Kalista has loved animals of all types since she was little. Her dream came true the moment she became a member of the MVAS team. She has always had pets of her own that she spoils like her own kids, so why not do the same for the shelter animals before they are able to go to their forever homes!

Edward, Weekend Cat Caregiver
Edward has worked at our shelter now for 8 years.

Chris, Social Media Coordinator
Chris was born in Oregon. She moved around alot however she landed here in Montana in the mid 80's. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 92 and went into the military in 93. She has always had animals in her home. She currently has 3 amazing cats and loves animals in all shapes and sizes. She went to Portland Community Collage and got an Associates Degree in General Studies. She would like to go back to school to become a Vet Tech at some point. She started at MVAS in Aug of 2022 and enjoys being with all the animals! She loves helping get the animals the homes they deserve!
