Meet Penny, our spunky survivor with a heart of gold!

After a few years away, sweet Penny found her way back to our shelter. She arrived dangerously thin and needing emergency surgery for a blockage after eating some household junk. We were all incredibly worried about her recovery, but this resilient firl sailed through her surgery and is officially back to her spunky, joyful and deeply loving self!

Penny can be a little timid when meeting new people - especially men - but if you give her a little time and patience, you will quickly discover she is a massive lovebug who firmly believes she is a tiny lap dog. When she isn’t busy trying to claim the majority of your blankets as a professional bed hog, her absolute favorite thing to do is play and work on her training with her chosen person.

Because Penny is a literal “garbage disposal” who will try to eat anything that fits in her mouth, her future family must be strictly vigilant. We never want to see her in that scary medical position again, so she requires a tidy home where floors and low surfaces are kept clear of small, ingestible objects.
